Veterans’ Home Administrator -Manteno IL - Nursing Home

Serves as Manteno IL Veterans’ Home Administrator; develops and executes programs, policies and procedures encompassing but not limited to the operations of the resident services units and fiscal services units in collaboration with management personnel. Reviews and approved the preparation and issuance of any revisions or additions to the Administrative Guideline manual with its policies, procedures, being in compliance with the regulations of Department and related state depts. and federal agencies. Develops long range goals and plans for the operation of the facility. Supervises staff, assigns work; approves time off; provides guidance and training; disciplines, recommends grievance resolutions; complete performance evaluations. Established annual goals and objective, determines staffing needs. Confers with Director of Nursing regarding resident care and mandatory staffing requirements. Confers with Executive Staff.

Requires current State of Illinois(Dept. of Professional Regulations) Nursing Home license and current status on required education units (CEU’s). Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college with coursework in business or public administration. Requires prior experience equivalent to four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization. Requires thorough knowledge of Agency programs and service objectives, activities and operations systems. Requires thorough knowledge of staff utilization and employee motivation. Requires ability to develop, install and evaluated new and revised methods, procedures and performance standards. Must have an honorable discharge for the U.S. Military.
