The LSR Pathology Office is responsible for knowing his/her professional scope of practice as defined during the Scripps Clinic New Employee Training. The LSR Office is responsible for timely and accurate data entry of laboratory test orders into the laboratory computer system, timely and accurate response to customer inquiries, which includes scheduling of appointments and procedures, complete and accurate message taking, routing messages to the appropriate area for direction, test verification, basic registration and updating of demographics. The LSR Office generates charge documents for laboratory procedures . The LSR Office maintains a clean, organized and safe environment; maintains a helpful, proactive attitude and exhibits excellent customer service by responding to patientsâ inquiries and requests defined by the Scripps Clinic Service Standards.
Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Qualifications: External candidates with 3+ years of LSR or direct applicable experience will be hired as a LSR II.
Excellent communication skills. Proficient at typing, CRT experience with accuracy. Good analytical skills; ability to identify and solve problems. Detail oriented; strong organizational skills. Confidentiality. Dependability and methodical approach to work; versatility and ability to adapt to change. Good negotiating skills. Teamwork orientation. Prefer 1-2 years of college classes or Bachelors degree.
