The GIS Coordinator will organize and manage all geographic data for precision agriculture program. Utilize GPS data captured in field to create maps for better managerial decisions.
The position holds responsibility for all precision agriculture data processing in addition to helping process water reporting, and sampling coordination and conducting the following duties:
- Produce custom maps for farming activities Process precision agriculture data for season’s plantings Analyze and report GPS Auto Steer tracking data Create GIS solutions for current or future project development Assist with regulatory compliance including Regional Water Quality Control Board, Air Quality Control Board, Agrian pesticide permitting/records, Good Agriculture Practice (GAP), food safety and Sustainability focused projects.
2-3 years Professional GIS related experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Geography with GIS emphasis, and/or holds GIS Certificate
Willingness to work in the field when necessary
Proficient use of English language when speaking, reading and writing
Must have effective presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Must exhibit strong degree of professionalism
AutoCAD & surveying experience a plus
