Assist with various ecological restoration projects, including non-tidal stream, tidal and non-tidal wetland, shoreline, shallow estuary, fisheries and lake restoration projects. Support the development of multi-disciplinary watershed restoration planning efforts. Demonstrate analytical skills necessary to solve complex problems.
2-5 years professional experience related to ecological restoration and stream assessment for natural and urban channels. Applied knowledge of the principles of geomorphology and Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H) preferred. Experience with wetland delineation natural resources assessments (wildlife, fisheries, aquatic biota, botanical), and environmental permitting a plus, but not required. Formal training in fluvial geomorphology preferred.
Strong understanding of fluvial geomorphology, Rosgen Stream Classification, fish passage design. Firm understanding of restoration methodologies for freshwater and brackish ecosystems; familiarity with GIS analysis; excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent organizational and time management; strong task management skills; strong interpersonal skills; rigorous research and analysis skills; demonstrated understanding of ecological principles and processes; ability to learn quickly.
Degrees / Licenses

BS in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Wildlife and Fisheries Management, Environmental or Water Resource Engineering or equivalent (R). MS in relevant fields or Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer(P) a plus.
Ability to work in a team environment, with individuals in other geographies a must. Overnight travel will be required on occasion.
