Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
Position supports the Development of new Managed Services Offers & Solutions with specific focus on solution process development. Candidate will engage with Offer Management, Solution Architects, Engineering, Implementation, Sales and Delivery Operations to develop and finalize Regional delivery and solution resource readiness templates as well as develop and institutionalize end-to-end solution process models.
Candidate will work closely with Managed Services Line of Business and Delivery/Implementation leadership teams to identify process gaps within the business, prioritize, and work across organizations to develop critical process and workflow solutions to drive efficiency and maturity in the business.
Successful applicant will establish requirements for highly complex process design projects and may lead a team responsible for establishing requirements as well as use analysis and modeling methods as well as formal system engineering and architecture processes
Managed Services Process Engineer collaborates with others in setting project approach and goals. Develops and applies technical improvements. Analyzes and evaluates alternative technical solutions (innovation vs. re-use) and production methods. May participatesd in technology roadmap processes.
Creates new processes and solutions based on novel or unique ideas. Maintains positive relationships with other Motorola functions to effectively guide the development of next-generation solution processes. Uses status as a leader in process engineering and functional knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines and program management to provide technical leadership to a given program. May participate in activities related to protecting Motorola intellectual property.
Defines requirements for and may design complex new solutions to aid in the analysis and solving of complex problems. Initiates cross-company collaboration and develops positive relationships with other engineering disciplines and other Motorola functions, such as sales, delivery,and marketing to support client needs.
Work is accomplished without considerable direction. Exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment and exercises judgment(within broadly defined policies and practices) in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Candidate will Interact with management and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines and works on complex issues and develops resolutions where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors and/or frequent use of creativity.
Candidate will be a seasoned professional having wide-ranging experience and use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
A 4-year bachelor of science degree in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited institution in the U.S. or a comparable foreign university, or currently employed by Motorola in an exempt, non-managerial engineering position, plus a minimum of 10+ years of engineering experience.
Relevant experience in Services, Solutions and/or Managed Services process development is preferred
