Forget “special projects” for newbies, our mechanical engineering interns work side-by-side with a mentor, making hands-on contributions to the world’s top-selling GPS navigation and wireless communication products. Our interns not only direct and coordinate mechanical development, but they develop concepts and design mechanical and electromechanical products/systems. They also design electronic packages using Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems, use learned skills to take a product from concept to mass production, design product components, conduct testing/analysis and so much more. Come on, what are you waiting for? Put your brain to work at Garmin.
Qualified candidates will have completed coursework towards a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or another electronics or engineering field relevant to the essential functions of this job description plus a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are also a must.
