I. BASIC FUNCTION
Provide a high level of customer service and prom ote a superior quality dining experience.
II. CORE REQUIREMENTS
Self-directed individual with strong hospitality and leadership qualities must possess the ability to anticipate the needs of events and guests . This upfront position requires a people fo cused individual with h igh customer service standards who will w ork closely with the Ser vice Manager and Production Manager to provide students and guests with a superior dining services program
III. PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Schedule all FOH staff including students for required levels of customer service during all the hours of operation including break times, service and cleaning assignments.
Training : Train all service staff in proper sanitation procedures; provide service instructions and direction to execute efficiently run events . Model superior customer service standards at all times.
Presentation: Maintain a spotless presentation of all equipment and any area of service that is utilized by the food service staff. This presentation includes hair restraint, uniforms, shoes, and personal hygiene of the entire service staff.
Staging : Packing required supplies for the catering events anticipating the needs of the events as well as the need s of the service staff.
Transportation : Participate in the loading, delivery staging and retrieving of event equipment.
Catering storage areas : Responsible for the maintenance of the catering equipment, in all areas of the campus .
Maintain and implement standards of quality in all areas of the Food Service operation.
Maintain good relations with students, faculty and fellow staff members

Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
3-5 year experience in customer service hospitality environment.
Abel to lift 40 pounds.
State of Illinois Sanitation Certificate.
Able to read and understand recipes and printed production guides, and c leaning s chedules
Must be able to clearly fill out logs and inventory sheets
Background C heck and Drug Screening is required.
Maintain good relations with students, faculty and fellow staff members

Salary Range: $ 10.0 0 - $ 14.00 per hour
Suggested Schedule: 10: 00 AM - 6:00 PM
S chedule will fluctuate in light of the times and dates of catered events.
