Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user requirements, procedures and problems in order to automate processing or to improve existing business systems. Formulates systems or processes to parallel overall business strategies.
Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reports.
Authoring of process/procedural documentation, whether web based or in an alternative format. Application specific tutorials, training documentation, step-by-step procedural outlines, FAQ's, How to's, and best practices outlines. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
Interface with appropriate governing groups in order to ascertain business application and/or customization needs, while balancing system capabilities with perceived user needs.
Prepares workflow charts and diagrams to specify in detail operations to be performed by equipment and computer programs and operations to be performed by personnel in system.
May prepare time and cost estimates for completing projects.
Travel, shift work, and overtime may be required to accomplish some of the above tasks.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and REQUIREMENTS
BS Business Administration and two years practical business system analysis, administration, and process development experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
In-depth familiarity with standard concepts, practices, processes, and procedures pertaining to MRP/ERP systems.
Familiarity with relational database and client-server concepts. Required specific application experience in formulating and applying business process and procedures utilizing Syteline.
Working knowledge of Windows and Unix OS's, Microsoft Office, and other Windows based programs. Proficient UNIX usage skills. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks in a fast paced, production critical, support environment.
PC's, PC hardware, networking hardware, and basic office equipment.
Exhibit and practice professional and courteous behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers.
Interact within a cooperative environment through beneficial behaviors, commitment to common goals, contribution to problem solving, communication of ideas and suggestions, an encouragement to other employees, and departments.
Accountable for the control and distribution of documents and/or equipment subject to export control restrictions and the security of FlightSafety materials, projects and business information regarding the methods and techniques used in the production and usage of FlightSafety products.
