LGS Innovations, a leader in government telecommunications and network integration, is seeking a Lab Computer and Network Support Technician for our Florham Park, NJ location.

Purpose: Provide technical support of software development infrastructure in RandD labs.
Provide ongoing lab computer support to include administration and maintenance of Linux, Mac, and Windows machines
Perform user administration:
Administration of LDAP directories and Kerberos authentication
Coordinate access controls with users, program leads, and management
Perform network administration
Design Network topology and provide support for VLAN, DMZ, LAG, etc.
Perform configuration of routers, switches, etc.
Design and install cable management, rack installation and organization
Maintain and support development infrastructure
Perform administration of several instances of subversion (SVN), bugzilla, twiki, trac, etc. Responsible for:
Setting up SVN repositories
Managing bugzilla components, versions and milestones
Managing twiki data organization
Perform profile management for clients including server class machines, PC/MacBooks, tablets (Android/IOS), Smart phones, etc.
Perform hardware assembly, maintenance, debugging, and corrective actions such as:
Replace/recover from failed disks
Assemble hardware and configure custom software for low quantity deliveries
Collaborate with stakeholders to recommend/design hardware solutions/options
Conceive of and implement virtualization duties including set up and administration of virtual machines spanning Unix, Linux, Windows operating systems.
Design and implement network and client security schemes to maintain security of the network infrastructure and client systems
Conceive of and implement IP services such as:
Provisioning services such as mail, wiki, VPN, messaging, etc.,
Candidate will build new services based on existing services
Travel to other LGS Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
Understand and adhere to all LGS Ethical and Compliance policies
Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to LGS EHandS policies and procedures
Perform other duties as required
Must be able to obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level to perform the job
8+ years related experience
Knowledge of Microsoft software applications and other software applications as required
Knowledge of basic to advanced scripting
Bash, Python, Perl, Servlet, etc.
C or C variant programming
Working knowledge of MATLAB, Labview, Agilent tolls, etc.
Knowledge and implementation of Hypervisor, virtual machine (VM) provision, and maintenance
Knowledge of design and implementation of Security network infrastructure and client systems
Good understanding of different methods of encryption of data in motion and at rest
Familiar with two factor authentication, tokens, provisioning and maintenance of network and client security
Good understanding of certificate management on Windows, Linux and Mac platforms, as well as Android/IOS.
Work is typically performed in an office environment which requires proper safety precautions. Work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.
