SUMMARY: In this position, you will provide project engineering and project management services in the field of site and building infrastructure and facilities related to a large capital investment project).
Responsibilities and duties include project scope development, system design and engineering throughout all project phases, project management, construction management, commissioning and start-up assistance in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Include HVAC and chiller systems, fire protection and suppression systems, elevators, cranes and other facility systems.
After completion of the initial project, candidate is expected to transition into an engineering position within the local engineering and maintenance organization at the Charleston, TN facility.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or comparable degree).
5+ years of experience related to infrastructure and facility systems in a project and/or maintenance environment.
Expertise in industrial, high performance and high reliability type facility systems, especially in HVAC and chiller systems is sought.
Registration as Professional Engineer in the state of TN is beneficial.
Required: willingness and ability to take extended business trips. Includes travel to site in Burghausen, Germany in order to learn project specifics and in order to integrate with the project team.
Due to schedule and milestone requirements (e.g. during commissioning, start-up and/or shut-down activities) non standard work schedule and/or overtime may be required.
