LBi is seeking a Business Analyst with a background in content-rich web sites who partners across teams to flawlessly define and deliver inspirational brand experiences.
  • Advocate for the client, ensure that the solution we provide is always in response to the problems we were presented
  • Design solutions that balance innovation, technical dexterity and business savvy
  • Explain just how it’s going to be done, clearly and simply

  • Research and understand customer and user requirements, their strategies, and their goals
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders
  • Document business requirements using industry standard formats
  • Manage business requirement documentation and change control process
  • Document use cases and/or stories for agile development
  • Along with the Technical Lead, model and map business requirements to technical implementations for new and existing client engagements
  • Work with User Experience Architects and Graphic Designers to revise wireframes and designs based on functional need
  • Prepare documents as required, which includes but not limited to user flows, use cases, functional specifications, UML diagrams etc. for the development and QA teams
  • Support the development team by communicating requirements and specifications
  • Support the QA team in test case development and triaging issues to ensure that they are aligned with the defined requirements
  • Lead demonstrations of functionality built by the development team to stakeholders
  • Actively participate and contribute to the development of continuous improvement initiatives related specifically to the implementation and support of the overall departmental processes

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, must be comfortable working directly with clients
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-starter and willing to look for problem areas and start analysis independently
  • Extensive knowledge of the business and technology domains
  • Strong technical documenting skills particularly with Word, Excel and Visio
  • Experience in a variety of testing efforts
  • Understanding of common software failures and faults
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Experience working in an agency or consultancy environment a plus
  • Familiarity with content management systems such as SharePoint, Drupal or Sitecore a plus
  • Domain knowledge of online social media community functionality (e.g. sharing, liking, voting) a plus
  • 3 years of technology experience with at least 1-2 years as a business analyst
  • Bachelor or equivalent degree
