The Account Executive is responsible for selling Optimum Lightpath Products and services to mid market companies in an assigned geographic area. This position will sell to new accounts as well as to existing accounts as assigned.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Process marketing leads for new opportunities with mid-market non-strategic accounts and prospects.
-Secure qualified appointments and conduct a well-defined sales process consistent with our approved sales approach.
-Promote our entire product offering including managed services.
-Become familiar and adept in presenting our core products, while referring Managed Service Solutions sales to the Managed Services team.
-Be pro-active and keep up with our ever changing industry with regards to new product offerings, industry changes, and competitor actions.
-Attend and successfully complete all required sales, product and process training sessions.
-Attending team meetings, and one-on-one meetings with the Director of Sales
-Submit weekly sales forecasts, as well as other reports when required by Sales Management.
-Consistently and completely utilize and exploit our Sales Force Automation and database tools. (Salesforce.com)
-Work with Operations to insure customer satisfaction.
-Work within corporate guidelines.
-College degree preferred
-Candidates must be high energy individuals who are willing to be an integral part of a growing professional sales organization.
-Excellent verbal and written communications skills
-Ability to work well under pressure
-Strong computer skills
-Excellent organizational skills – Ability to multi-task and be highly responsive to customers
-Some prior sales or customer service experience is preferred.
-Proven history of excellent customer service values and commitment.
