Allina Commons is the Minneapolis-based headquarters of Allina Hospitals & Clinics, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street.

This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Allina's Abbott Northwestern Hospital, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units. Responsibilities: Interact and present savings opportunities to Allina leadership teams, entitiy leadership, and product / service line user groups. Ensure proper maintenance of the contract file for audit purposes. Work across team functions to assure appropriate level of team coverage.

Participate in cross functional teams for the development of common policies and procedures. Consistently communicate to key stakeholders and SCM Leadership on status of projects. Understand requirements for assigned projects to include forming decision teams and understanding of the general working of the group. System point of contract (internal and external).

Understand, identify, and resolve differences between organization and service provider. Conduct key stakeholder, physician, user satisfaction surveys. Develop and / or understand clinical requirements for contracted / savings products to include forming decision teams with an understanding of the general working of the group (ex. politics, people, technology).

Participate in cross functional teams for the development of common policies and procedures. Address quality and service concerns with supplies, service and equipment issues. Develop, maintain, and lead supplier (product and services) management program to service and equipment issues. Lead / direct implementations resulting from projects.

Maintain contract calendar for assigned projects. Develop, document, implement, and maintain effective processes and procedures for managing projects to timelines. Prioritize contract / savings opportunities. Analyze and interpret supply, service, and equipment contracting or purchase opportunities.

Identify potential contract opportunities by analyzing historical trends. Determine, monitor, and deliver financial savings targets for assigned projects. Monitor and track completion of contract terms and obligations within the allowed timeframe and budget. Develop program management plans for savings opportunities.

Lead cross-functional teams through a selection process to include performing product value analysis and make/buy decisions. Lead contract negotiations. Understand requirements for projects to include forming decision teams and understanding of the general working of the group. Monitor and track completion of projects and obligations within the allowed timeframe and budget.

Function as a support role in continuous contract negotiations. Understand service spend (responsibility reporting) for assigned contract areas. Stay current with market trends and new technology for supplies, equipment and services for product/service group. Develop RFPs and contracts.

Analyze letter of commitment and letter of participation contract details. Prepare negotiation plans including performance criteria. Qualifications: 5 - 7 years of proven success in contract negotiations and contract management experience. CPM certification or related professional training desired.

Strong financial analyst skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in the use of MS office, including Excel and Word (Access database experience is a strong plus). Bachelors degree, proven track record and experience will be considered.

Supply chain, purchasing, and / or materials management training preferred. Problem solving skills. Proven contract and negotiation skills. Effective time management skills.

Demonstrated high level of aptitude in spreadsheets, databases, and electronic commerce. Proven project management experience. Facilitation of cross-functional work teams. Ability to work independently.
