Somnia is seeking a Per Diem CRNAs to join its team at Hazleton General Hospital, a growing community hospital close to the scenic Pocono Mountains and within driving distance of Philadelphia and New York City.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Established in 1891 to provide medical care for the area’s coal miners, Hazleton General Hospital is today a 150-bed not-for-profit hospital and part of the Greater Hazleton Health Alliance. The hospital’s surgical program has volume of 2,600 OR cases annually, in addition to 1,800 endoscopy cases. The surgical floor runs four ORs and one endoscopy room Monday through Thursday and a fifth OR is added on Fridays. There is an average of 500-600 births per year, with about 60% requiring epidurals and 30% delivered by C-section.
Our dynamic anesthesia team is comprised of both physicians and CRNAs working together under a medical supervision model.

NBCRNA certification required
Active Pennsylvania license
ACLS/PALS certification are required

THE COMMUNITY
The Greater Hazelton community is located at the foot of the Pocono Mountains. The area’s excellent quality of life makes the town attractive to a broad range of individuals. The area has more than a dozen golfing options including public and private facilities. In the winter, thirteen ski facilities in the area are open including Jack Frost and Big Boulder. Wachovia Arena at the Casey Plaza features professional sporting events, concerts and circus events. Nearby, Pocono International Raceway hosts the Winston Cup Series races twice each summer.
