Job Description
Hyperion Data Integration Consultants are deployed to the Finance and Enterprise Performance Management Consulting organization. Data Integration Consultants support the business process definition, functional design and technology enablement as part of Enterprise Performance Management programs focused on financial modeling, planning, budgeting, and forecasting, and financial reporting. As members of the project teams, Data Integration Consultants provide subject matter expertise in both leading business practices and application expertise to assist in the designing, developing, and deployment of the Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management (FDM) and/or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) solution to support Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Hyperion Planning and/or Hyperion Essbase applications. Management Consultants are expected to drive efforts throughout the full lifecycle of the project and provide supervising and coaching to junior team members. They work closely with functional and technical client leads to advise on best practices and to define and implement the solution that best positions them to operate as high performance businesses.

This position requires a minimum of 80% travel.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) implementation workstream (s) such as: Coordinating activities to support clients through requirement gathering and process design, chat of account optimization, journal entry leading practices, and providing recommendations to enhance and accelerate the close-to-report process as the Financial Consolidation Lead Advising on technical designs and development best practices as a lead for the application component (e.g. HFM Application Lead, Reporting Lead, and HFM Data Integration Lead) Develop the test plan and coordinate resources required to complete end-to-end testing as the Test Cycle Lead Defining a training plan and coordinating resources to deliver application and process training as the Training Lead Recommend ways to enhance and accelerate the close-to-report process Leverage content knowledge and past experiences to architect optimal Consolidations and Financial Reporting solutions incorporating leading practices in areas that include: business and finance strategy, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), accounting and HFM treatment for typical accounting considerations such as equity pick-up and minority / non-controlling interest, Cash Flow statement preparation and automation, multi-GAAP reporting, and complex ownership structures Facilitate application design sessions advising in areas such as application architecture, process and application alignment and optimization, report design and alignment to the most appropriate Hyperion reporting tool, and security design Configure HFM application components, including optimal hierarchy configuration, currency translation, intercompany eliminations, Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio reports, Smart View templates, and HFM rules customization in line with business, functional and performance requirements Assist with data conversion and interfacing activities, including user support to load and reconcile data Prepare key deliverables such as requirement documents, design documents, development inventory, test documentation, training materials and administration/procedural guides Supervise, train, and coach junior team members Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years experience in financial modeling and analytic reporting utilizing multi-dimensionality Minimum 3 years experience designing and/or developing Hyperion FDM and/or ODI applications Minimum 3 years Project Management experience Bachelor's degree Preferred Qualifications:
Global consulting experience Experience designing and executing data validation of source data vs. EPM application data using Hyperion reporting tools (Hyperion Financial Reporting, Hyperion Smart View) Experience in functional Enterprise Performance Management, including but not limited to requirements definition, financial modeling, process design, application builds, testing, and training Demonstrated ability to support teams in both functional and technical capacities Ability to communicate complex ideas to clients in writing and verbally Proven ability delivering complex and time sensitive projects Project delivery experience employing Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) or Consulting Delivery Methodology (CDM) models Hands-on implementation experience with other Oracle Hyperion EPM (version 11) technology solutions (Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Essbase , Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Strategic Finance), both Classic & EPMA Hands-on implementation experience with commonly used FDM adapters and ODI Hyperion Knowledge Modules Hands-on infrastructure design and installation process/troubleshooting experience Global Management Consulting experience Development experience with VBScript and FDM APIs / ODI Tools Desire for continuous learning around new Hyperion products and version upgrades Oracle Hyperion certification
