The Fixed Income Portfolio Analyst is responsible for and oversees the development of insightful investment analysis and content designed to inform key internal and external stakeholders about T. Rowe Price's investment portfolios and Investment Management. The responsibilities include standard institutional-level portfolio and performance analysis for the investment information needs of the company’s Business Units, Portfolio Analyst, Portfolio Specialist and Investment Management. The position is responsible for applying both qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to the job.

Perform in-depth analysis of investment performance, taking into account financial market conditions, attribution, portfolio construction and positioning, characteristics and statistics, etc.; to support the external communication needs of the company’s Business Units and the investment information needs of Investment Management. The position requires knowledge of investment concepts, strategies, styles and analytical methodologies from the total portfolio level to the individual security level. Consistent use and application of investment tools and systems for analysis is required.

Collaborate with ICM Institutional Writing team on monthly/quarterly standard investment commentary development to support external communications needs. This will also include the creation and maintenance of RFP responses and content.

Create exhibits and analysis independently and helps Portfolio Analysts create exhibits for complex reports, which are graphical exhibits used by Investment Management , Portfolio Specialists and the Business Units to help articulate and explain a core message or piece of analysis for monthly/quarterly investment commentary development to support the external communication needs of TRP.

Provide ongoing monitoring of portfolio activity to maintain an appropriate knowledge base for the role. This includes staying up to date on portfolio trading, portfolio positioning, and market environment and portfolio characteristics.
