Wayfair, the largest online-only retailer of home furnishings and house wares in the United States, is looking for a self-directed Senior Trainer with expertise in instructional design. The right candidate will have experience developing and implementing training strategies, plans, and processes to support organizational goals. He/she will be familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Other critical success factors for this role include a great attitude, flexibility, and is very engaged and “hands on.” The Senior Trainer will be responsible for all training programs for Wayfair’s Contact Centers in the United States, with a focus on Sales Skills, Process Training and Management Training.
Responsibilities:
Manage the Training Function and Programs – New Hire Training, Ongoing Training and Development, Quality Assurance Process
Implement training best practices and programs that directly align with business goals and drive improved performance
Develop training and quality assurance staff in order to build an “A” team of trainers
Create a closed loop feedback process with business partners to ensure training meets business needs
Build reporting for measurement of training and quality assurance and
Create calendar and certification process for tracking participation and successful completion in curriculum
Ensure the quality assurance process adapts to changing business needs and operates with a high level of efficiency
Qualifications:
Proven track record in creating , delivering, and evaluating training curriculum with instructional design best practices
Excellent communication skills: ability to present to large groups and connect on an individual level
Critical Character Traits: flexibility, self-directed and self-motivated, patience, and a sense of humor
Operationally-oriented: strong project management skills and willingness to work in the details
5 years experience in curriculum design and implementation
3 years supervisory experience
BA/BS degree in a related field required
ASTD membership is a plus
Contact Center experience highly preferred
Experience with quality assurance programs highly preferred
