Ideal candidate will have BS in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering or related 4 yr. degree.
Mid to senior level experience in ship design
Experience with offshore supply vessel design
Shipyard production engineering support a plus
Proven ability to design and arrange details for primary and secondary ship structure. Develop supporting calculations for required scantlings and welds based on first principles as well as class society rules. FEA software experience a plus.
Strong background with SOLAS, USCG-inspected vessel regulations and ABS class rules
AutoCAD proficiency required
Working knowledge of ShipConstructor
Position is contract-to-direct. Successful candidate will be offered a full-time direct position after 6+ months.
Gulf Coast location.
