Provides leadership for the Case Management and Social Work staff throughout the institution. Assumes full authority and supervision over all the professional activities of the Case Managers and Social Workers. Accountable for quality of care, proper resource utilization, discharge planning coordination, and daily operational responsibility. Leads the coordination of all activities and surveillance associated with maintaining constant regulatory survey readiness. Serves as an internal consultant for the interpretation of standards and functional measurement of compliance. Models “Excellence for Life” principles and mentors others to do the same.
Knowledge in areas of case management, discharge planning, utilization review, government regulations, health care finance, reimbursement, and budgeting.
Membership in appropriate professional organizations is considered a desired element of
Case Management Society of America (CMSA)
Certified Professional Utilization Review (CPUR)
Certified Case Manager (CCM)
Current Ohio Nursing licensure required.
At least 5 years experience required in Quality/Case Management/Accreditation
BSN required, Masters in Nursing or related field preferred
Certificate in Case Management or Certified Professional of Healthcare Quality preferred
