Consumer & Community Banking Compliance Practices Consumer & Community Banking (C&CB) Compliance plays a critical role in the successful execution of the firm's compliance mission. The Compliance function ensures the development and maintenance of a strong compliance culture by working closely with business, legal, risk, and audit functions to provide expertise on regulatory compliance matters. The Compliance function also develops and maintains practices to identify, measure, manage, and control compliance related risks, and monitors and tests the adequacy of the firm's compliance control environment. ' C&CB Policies and Practices is a newly formed group with responsibility for working with Global Compliance to design and implement core compliance practices to be applied across C&CB. Such practices include implementing a consistent approach and framework for Governance & Oversight, Policies & Regulatory Management, Training & Awareness, Risk Assessment and Reporting, Monitoring and Testing, and Issue Management activities. This team, in partnership with Chief Compliance Officers will help design and implement the approach to the C&CB's compliance practices, and continually enhance core compliance practices. Position Description This role provides the opportunity to participate in the development of a best in class C&CB Compliance Quality Assurance (QA) function with responsibility for assisting in the implementation of a C&CB QA program that will provide for effective oversight of C&CB Compliance practices activities. The primary objectives of the C&CB QA function are to ensure high quality and consistent execution of Compliance practices across C&CB Compliance and provide for continuous improvement of such practices. The role will be accountable for conducting QA reviews and analyzing results so as to identify specific compliance gaps/weaknesses and develop recommendations and guidance on best practices to continually enhance the effectiveness Compliance practices. The position will also assist in related reporting of C&CB QA results and escalation of issues arising from test activity so as to identify emerging risks and compliance trend. The role will involve close collaboration with C&CB Compliance Teams to deliver output that ensures transparency and identification of Compliance risk. Responsibilities Assist with the implementation of a strong compliance C&CB QA Program to ensure risk-based coverage, meaningful analysis and specific actionable recommendations; Execute C&CB QA processes, including required test procedures and deliverables; estimate QA effort and provide test schedule and execution plan; Assist in the reporting of C&CB QA results and related Practices metrics/KRIs/ KPIs; Work collaboratively across C&CB Compliance in connection with Compliance Framework enhancement efforts to design a program that applies best practices and considers changing regulatory standards so as to provide flexibility to execute across the businesses; Keep abreast of industry and regulatory developments regarding compliance design promoting an environment with leading edge compliance risk management practices and tools; Build and maintain key relationships across the Compliance department, promoting a culture of engagement and connectivity.
Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years experience in Compliance, Risk or Audit related activities, preferably within the financial services industry or Public Accounting Knowledge and understanding of compliance risk management practices and methodologies, including risk assessment, monitoring/ surveillance and testing activities Professional maturity and confidence in expressing a point of view with management Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills Proven ability to build rapport, garnering respect and appropriately exercise duties in a collaborative cross-cultural environment Proven ability to act as a clearinghouse for compliance lessons learned and best practices Past experience building and maintaining key relationships across departments and functions, and establishing a culture of engagement Proven ability to positively and implement critical change initiatives JP Morgan Chase is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer, M/F/D/V.
