The Associate Director will be responsible for overseeing the complex and diverse efforts of Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) Channel. He/she will provide ongoing, comprehensive insight through continual market tracking and analytics for Medicaid and Medicare. He or she will identify areas for efficiency, collaboration, and learnings within Managed Markets Marketing and with other BI business partners including but not limited to: CDM, PAR, Sales, GAPP, etc. He/she will require a solid understanding of Government Channels, specifically Medicaid and Medicare. As such, he/she is expected to oversee comprehensive business analysis to develop and align company strategy. The AD will gather and maintain knowledge from internal and external sources to understand, evaluate, and analyze the CMS Channel as it evolves. He/she will provide financial analysis for CMS by key therapeutic areas of interest to understand market/brand current business/revenue streams, as well as business potential. The individual is also expected to work directly with Key Account Area Managers (KAAMs) Team gain brand insights and identify channel opportunities for the three lead BI portfolio brands.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide ongoing relationships, collaboration,and comprehensive insight of the Managed Market CMS Channel: Medicare and Medicaid.

Interface with CMS at the national (Washington DC and Baltimore MD) and in conjunction with National Government Affairs on a regional levels. Attend relevant meetings, develop and maintain customer relationships, and pursue BI involvements in brand-related opportunities. Participate in contract negotiations as appropriate.

Gather and maintain knowledge from internal and external sources to understand, evaluate, and analyze the CMS Channel as it evolves. Conduct financial analysis to understand market/brand current business/revenue streams, as well as business potential. Communicate insights and opportunities to the MM Sales Force. Participate in monthly CMS Steering Council meetings to develop goals and objectives focused on key brands and pipeline products.

Coordinate efforts with Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) colleagues to capitalize on business opportunities. Spend 50% of time in the field interfacing with customers and appropriate Sales colleagues.

Requirements:
Bacheleors degree and/or Masters degree (e.g. MBA, MSc)

Account selling experience required

Knowledge of Government Channel desired

Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross-functional teams

Demonstrated ability to manage large projects and achieve desired results

Proven competencies per On Track to Success

Proficiency in MS Office and related marketing applications

4 to 6 years of leadership experience

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background

Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)

Must be 18 years of age or older
