Network and Computer Support Systems Infrastructure/Hardware Maintenance Technician. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer, training support, audio visual and electronic reception systems. Contractor will ensure coverage (at least one CME within this labor category will have knowledge and experience) of the following duties to include, but not limited to performing minor repairs, upgrades, and maintenance to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications. Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities. Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support. Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service. Develop training materials (as required) and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or software. Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications. Maintain and update unit unclassified and classified Sharepoint web collaboration sites. Conduct and document inspections and cleaning of all network and infrastructure components. Inspect and test lines and cables, recording and analyzing test results, to assess transmission characteristics and locate faults and malfunctions. Splice and terminate copper and fiber cables, using hand tools, epoxy, or mechanical equipment. Set up service for customers, installing, connecting, testing, and adjusting equipment. Measure signal strength at termination points using electronic test equipment. All infrastructure and/or hardware maintenance actions shall be accomplished IAW appropriate AF Standards, TOs and guidance (ref para 1.4.4), as well as, 39 IOS SOPs. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot classified Audio Visual and Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) video and security systems to include digital video recorder (DVR) server, software, and internet protocol (IP) cameras and associated network infrastructure. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot network audio\video infrastructure hardware and associated software to include VBrick, Crestron, video wall, Video Teleconferencing (VTC), Video on Demand (VOD), and video portal services. This position requires a High School diploma (or equivalent), 4 years of experience and an industry standard certification commensurate with DoDI 8570.1m – IAT Level I.
