JOB SUMMARY: Reports to the PSM and Medical Director of Maternal Fetal Medicine and serves as administrative and technical manager of the ultrasound areas of MFM across YNHH. Has responsibility and accountability for all administrative and technical matters required for the efficient operation and management of perinatology ultrasound services. Is administratively accountable for capital and operating budget development and control systems design and implementation and variety of special projects. Has responsibility for development, interpretation and application of technical and administrative policies and procedures, budgets, and long-range plans pertaining to ultrasonography of MFM. Patient and family centered care (PFCC) at YNHH is demonstrated by working with patients and their families based on the 4 principles of PFCC: participation, dignity and respect, information sharing, and collaboration. This includes providing service excellence by creating a great "First Impression" by demonstrating exemplary customer service skills for all customer groups including patients, families/friends, physicians, staff and support department personnel. Adheres to the "I Am YNHH" service excellence pledge and promotes a positive work environment. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Baccalaureate Degree (Master's preferred). Certification in Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging. Five (5) years in the technological aspects of Perinatal Diagnostic Ultrasound Diagnostic, with two -five years of Chief Sonographer management experience required. Excellent managerial, technical, fiscal, and negotiation skills. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be skilled in data base management and data query. Certification in Diagnostic Ultrasound IMA.
