Minimum Skills/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Seven to 10 year's experience in fundraising or closely related field (business management, marketing, communications, etc.) Knowledge of all major foundation functions. CFRE designation preferred. Proven track record in fundraising, including campaigns, major gifts and annual giving techniques and processes. Proficiency in MS Office programs and experience using Raiser’s Edge.

Primary Job Functions

Manage a portfolio of 100-125 donors and ensure timely cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.

Develop a grateful patient solicitation program with an initial focus on building a base of annual donors through direct mail and targeted, personal solicitations.

Launch and direct an advisory council/committee comprised of volunteers who can assist with pursuing event sponsorships and major gifts.

Coordinate an annual donor reception and other smaller cultivation/stewardship events (breakfast, lunch, etc) as necessary.

Work in partnership with other PHS Foundation staff on major gift/leadership solicitations and system wide fundraising initiatives, such as the annual employee campaign.

Work with the Foundation team to plan, organize and implement annual signature fundraising events, donor cultivation events and major/leadership gift donor recognition events.

Serve as a visible and vocal advocate for philanthropy at Rust Medical Center.
