Provide day-to-day secretarial assistance to our Counsels and Assistant Chief Counsels of Legal Affairs. This position is part of a team that includes secretaries, paralegals and attorneys. Candidates should be prepared to cooperate, to multi-task and to cover additional duties as needed.
Responsibilities
Drafting & proofing agreements, internal/external letters/memos
• Project management (including follow-ups)
• Answering /screening calls
• Scheduling, coordinating calendars
• Uploading external drafts and executed agreements using proprietary database system
• Distributing documents
• Maintaining electronics, physical files, and database
• Preparing expense reports
• Managing a fast-paced, wide-ranging desk
• Providing back up to other legal assistants & assist with other admin responsibilities
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 2 years administrative support experience assisting multiple entertainment attorneys at an entertainment law firm or in-house legal department
• Previous contract experience; redlining experience
• PC knowledge - Microsoft Word /Outlook (current versions)
• Strong proofreading and drafting skills required
• Ability to take accurate, fast notes
• Simultaneously handle multiple tasks with accuracy
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions and change course of action quickly
• Detail oriented with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills
• Effective communicator, both verbal and written
• Positive attitude and the ability to be proactive, resourceful and flexible
• Strong people skills, including the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to take initiative and work with limited supervision
• Able to work overtime on an "as-needed" basis
Preferred Qualifications
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Required Education
BS/BA or equivalent preferred
