Raytheon is seeking a Field Engineer II to provide support at our Guam operations work center.
Duties and responsibilities:
The Field Engineer II will perform a wide variety of tasks with respect to installing, verifying, and testing the installation of Desktop Computers, Printers, LAN and WAN hardware (routers and switches) along with network circuits. Will utilize various customer computer resources and test equipment including, but not limited to, PCs, Bit error test sets, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and other network programming / monitoring devices during the daily execution of work. Will install fiber optic and copper infrastructures; program LAN / WAN channels and trunks; verify, assist in verifying that installations are compliant with requirement performance specifications; and update and maintain configuration databases.
Must have a BS Degree in an IT related field OR possess at least 10 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
Must have at least 4 years of related technical experience
Must have some training or experience installing and terminating copper telecommunications cable
Must have some training or experience with Multimeters
Must have training or experience with oscilloscopes
Must have training or experience with telecommunication switches or information technology hardware
Must have knowledge and experience using MS Office Professional, Internet Explorer, and Outlook
If not already certified, must become IAT Level II 8570 certified by within 6 months of start date
Must have current and active TS/SCI security clearance
