Piper Enterprise Solutions is seeking a Linux Administrator with NetApp experience searching for an opportunity in Morrisville, North Carolina. The Linux NetApp Administrator will be responsible for the daily administration of TSM and Unix/Linux servers. A Linux NetApp Administrator with a working knowledge of Unix/Linux is require, however, it is important to note that a working knowledge of TSM is not required. The Linux NetApp Administrator must have experience with backup / restore concepts. Other responsibilities for the Storage Administrator include:

Administration of TSM environment.

Administration of Unix/Linux based server systems in a mid-size datacenter as a member of a team of system administrators.

Builds and configures new systems.

Performs troubleshooting and repairs as required.

Implements configuration changes or enhancements by customer request.

Serves as the first line of defense against intrusion and inadvertent system damage.

Takes part in 24x7 on duty rotation.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Three years of system administration experience and Three years of experience with NetApp.

Experience with most aspects of the Unix operating system: paging/swapping, inter-process communication, devices and device driver fundamentals, file system concepts like inode and superblock.

Experience with at least one of SuSE Linux, AIX or HP/UX.

Sound understanding of SAN and NAS storage concepts.

Familiar with fundamental networking/distributed computing environments and concepts. Can configure NFS and NIS, use nslookup or research to check information in the DNS.

Experience with Autoyast, Kickstart, NIM or similar network installation environment.

Ability to write detailed scripts in at least one, preferably two administrative languages, (shell scripts, Perl, Tk).

Ability to perform at least minimal debugging and modification of C programs.

Ability to perform security audits, and protect the system against intrusion.

Compensation Package: $85,000 - 95,000. Total compensation determined by relevant work experience and recent salary history.
