The Application Support Specialist is responsible for providing Help Desk technical support across broad
portfolio of internal applications; providing minor I.T. support such as account resets; staying abreast of
new technologies and techniques concerning computer-related subjects, especially personal computers,
mobile devices and networks. The Application Support Specialist will take direction from the Application
Support Manager and the Vice Presid

The Application Support Specialist is responsible for providing Help Desk technical support across broad
portfolio of internal applications; providing minor I.T. support such as account resets; staying abreast of
new technologies and techniques concerning computer-related subjects, especially personal computers,
mobile devices and networks. The Application Support Specialist will take direction from the Application
Support Manager and the Vice President of IT.

Specific Functions
  • Troubleshoot problems for internally developed applications and systems.
  • Provide documentation and procedures to internal users to further their use of our a pplications and systems.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot browser related issues
  • Record, track and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
  • Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders
  • Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.

Qualifications Qualifications and Essential Skills:
  • High school diploma; Degree or certification in one of the following: Information Technology, Information Systems, program design, hardware maintenance, operating systems, networking.
  • Two years professional experience in a technical support role.
  • High logic aptitude scores.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft computer networks and systems including strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Broad knowledge of personal computers at the laptop and desktop level.
  • Good documentation/technical writing skills.
  • Ability to interface and communicate with customers and co-workers in a clear and professional manner.
  • Ability to work well in a group.
