Develop understanding of various forms utilized in agency.
  • Maintain policy files, both retrieving and filing documents as instructed.
  • Monitor all search orders.
  • Review order to verify all data is complete.
  • Complete order form for searcher (if applicable)
  • Monitor orders due back on a daily basis.
  • Pull files, insert search, and put in commitment basket.
  • On a daily basis, log orders received, searches ordered and searches received.

  • Premiums Receivable and Cancellations.
  • On a daily basis, pull files on premiums received and stamp payment date.
  • Prepare daily deposit in processing system and bank.
  • Send invoices to lenders on outstanding premiums.
  • Track fees received and monies still due.
  • Follow up on late notices not paid.

  • Accounting
  • Fax invoices to accounting for payment on a daily basis.
  • Prepare daily deposit on a daily basis.

  • Administrative Duties
  • Answer phones.
  • Process requests for changes/corrections to policies (amounts, etc.)
  • Open and distribute daily mail.
  • File all documents pertinent to commitments on a daily basis.
  • Prepare outgoing mail.
  • Assist with routine typing of envelopes, forms, letters and other documents as needed.

  • Assist with special projects as requested.

  • Position Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent with two years of clerical or administrative experience.
  • Experience related to title insurance, mortgage lending, real estate or loan processing preferred.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm, set up filing systems and operate a personal computer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in person and by telephone.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to work well with others.
