PRINCIPAL FURNACE MECHANICAL ENGINEERS 10 years minimum experience in the mechanical design of fired heater equipment in the refining and petrochemical industries. Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in stress analysis work, using tools such as Caesar and / or AutoPipe. Finite Element Analysis and reformer or pyrolysis furnace experience is added value. Must be familiar with the design requirements of ASME Section I, ANSI B31.3, API Standards 560 & 530 and applicable ASTM standards. In depth knowledge to prepare purchase specifications, to review engineering design drawings, to prepare bid evaluations, and to check shop drawings of typical furnace components.
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering required; a USA State PE license is preferred.
