Responsible for the technical analysis of all requests related to property systems development. Translates user information and requirements into technical requirements, conceptual designs and prototypes/story boarding. Negotiates a balance between user need, corporate strategic direction and technical implementation.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Working with multiple departments, define client information requirements through client interviews and participation in system design meetings. Negotiate functionality taking into consideration user need, corporate direction and technical implementation, release schedules and budgetary constraints. Work with technical leads in the use case development, design analysis, prototype and story boarding process.
Maintain knowledge of all property systems products and functionality. Stay current with hospitality industry and technology trends. Assist senior management in analyzing how to best apply technology.
Coordinate efforts and communicate to all levels within Choice Property Systems and Information Technology departments regarding projects and software releases. Assist in the review/analysis of all user requests, and prioritization of requests within software release schedules.
Create and assist the organization and maintenance of project files. Develop use case documentation, technical specifications, and database definition requirements
SKILLS, EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
College degree or years of experience to commensurate with requirements.
2 - 4+ years of relevant work experience to include:
o UML (Business Process Diagrams)
Excellent interpersonal skills including strong oral and written communications abilities.
Understanding/Knowledge of SOA and Agile/Scrum.
Experience in hotel operations, front/back office preferred.
Software programming experience or an understanding of the software development cycle.
Ability to work under pressure and within stringent time frames.
Adaptable to changing priorities and the ability to work on multiple tasks and/or projects concurrently, without impacting quality.
Ability to have an open mind and identify multiple solutions to a problem.
Expertise with Microsoft Office required, Microsoft Project preferred.
Must be able to write documentation in a variety of communication settings and styles.
Self-motivated, needs no daily supervision. Has the ability to identify future needs and lead other technical analysts in their daily work.
Creative and innovative. Easily translates ideas and information into meaningful concepts that are easily understood.
