PURPOSE: The Clinical Research Coordinator manages all patients enrolled in clinical trials with 21st Century Oncology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

· Conducts and helps solicit industry trials for potential participation

· Enrolls patients in Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) Protocols and submits all data

· Hosts site initiation and study close visits

· Ensures payments from pharmaceutical companies for clinical trial participation

· Tracks patient accrual to protocols

· Screens patients for protocols

· Meets with patients to discuss protocols

· Obtains informed consent from eligible patients

· Ensures patient eligibility

· Registers/randomizes eligible patients

· Completes case report forms per deadline

· Ensures protocol patients receive tests, treatments and evaluations according to the protocol

· Hosts monitoring visiting and audits

· Maintains regulatory documents

· Maintains protocol patient databases

· Liaison with the 21C Clinical Research Manager; regarding all protocols and patients

· Performs periodical quality control checks

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

· Medical terminology, knowledge of disease processes, anatomy and oncology

· Working knowledge of regulatory requirements

· Attention to detail and accuracy

· Ability to meet deadlines

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

· Current RN license

· BS/BA in biology or related field or two years Clinical Trial experience

· Certification with ACRP/SOCRA desired
