Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.
Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield are the Army's world-class training, and military armored power projection combination on the Eastern Seaboard of the United States.
Club Stewart is a beautiful facility with 7 function rooms that can accommodate 50-500 guests. It is the largest facility of its type within a 50 mile radius. Dinner theatre, comedy nights, catered events, military social events and unit functions including balls and dining-ins are just a few dedicated, reliable, and motivated individuals to join our team in providing quality hospitality services to our military and their families.
Flexible positions will normally be scheduled between 0-40 hours per week dependent upon the needs of the organization. There are no guaranteed hours for flexible positions.

Performs a variety of routine manual tasks in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures.
Sets up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments, and cold menu items such as salads, desserts, bread, and cold beverages on a serving line or tables. Removes dishes and trays from tables after meals. Washes tables and counters.
Prepares food by sorting, washing, peeling, and cutting fresh fruit and vegetables. Operates, break downs, and cleans all equipment assigned to the area for food preparation. Clean kitchen equipment such as worktables, sinks and refrigerators. Separates food waste and trash from dishes, glasses, and silverware. Loads and operate dishwashers. Stores cleaned dishes, glasses and silverware.
Sweeps and mops kitchen floors and washes walls. Cleans and sanitizes trash cans; disposes of trash.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Ability to understand and follow simple instructions. Ability to use hand tools for cleaning. Ability to operate simple machines. Skill in performing tasks involving several procedures. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Knowledge of sanitation standards and procedures to prevent contamination. Working knowledge of sanitation standards and knowledge of procedures to prevent contamination.
Knowledge of basic food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures. Ability to read and understand written material.
Knowledge of basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals, such as counting the number of tables in order to determine the number of portions or meals required, or, how many servings a particular container will yield.
Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Ability to continuously stand and walk for long period of time. Ability to stoop, reach, push, pull and bend frequently for a long period of time.
Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Conditions of employment:
1. Must successfully complete a physical that will be initiated prior to appointment to a NAF position.
2. You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
3. HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies:
Knowlegde, skills, abilities, additional screening criteria and other characteristics.
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid experience or volunteer work.
Conversion of employment category (from Flex to RPT/RFT) may be accomplished without further competition in accordance with AR 215-3.
Military spouses requesting spouse employment preference (SEP) consideration must attach a copy of the sponsor's Pcs orders to current duty station at the time of application. If spouse's name is not on the orders, proof of marriage (marriage license or military ID card) will be required during the referral screening to further verify preference eligibility.

Refusal of a military spouse to participate in established recruitment procedures (e.g. interview, KSA's, where required, etc.) for any "Regular" continuing position (a part or full time Nonappropriated (NAF) or Appropriated (APF) position without time limits) is considered a declination of employment and is a basis for termination of SEP entitlement for the current PCS of the sponsor. There is no limit to the number of times military spouse preference may be applied for non-continuing positions (flexible/temporary). To claim Military Spouse Preference you must have been married to the sponsor prior to the reporting date on the orders.
