Medical Assistant II Clinics

Under general supervision, the Medical Assistant II – Clinics is responsible for assisting the provider and staff to provide optimal patient care and maintain clinic

efficiency.

Job Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program, or higher level training such as LPN. Graduate of an x-ray training program.

Experience:
Experience as a back office medical assistant. One-year experience, including limited x-ray procedure, preferred.

Licensure/Certification:
Licensed Radiologic Technologist Limited Permit (LRT-LIM) required. Current applicable state license for limited x-ray permit: may include upper/lower extremities and chest/rib required and spine as per site operations.

Current American Heart Association approved CPR certification required.

Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Specialized certification including audiometry and spirometry may be required at specific clinics.

State of Washington

Registered or Certified Nursing Assistant (RNA/C.N.A.) required for employees who perform this job in the State of Washington (including those who float into the role). Health Care Assistant Category C and E required for all who perform this job in the State of Washington within 90 days of hire (including those who float into the role). Health Care Assistant Category A for all employees who perform phlebotomy in the State of Washington (including those who float into the role) within 90 days of hire

Skills:
EKG skills and x-ray skills.

Phlebotomy, basic lab skills.

Medication administration to include oral, topical and injections.

Ability to work well with minimal supervision and make sound assessments and judgments within scope of practice.

Clinical procedures within scope of practice for medical assistant.

Administrative procedures within scope for practice for medical assistant.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Service-oriented with ability to adapt to changing workload and pace.

Ability to maintain good film quality.

Ability to maintain favorable patient and guest relations.

Accuracy.
