Physicians Plus Insurance Corporation has a full time opportunity available within our call center for an entry level or a seasoned Member Service Representative. This position is responsible for managing the problem resolution process for all customers by responding promptly and professionally to all inquiries. The Member Service Representative responds to customer questions regarding health insurance eligibility and benefit coverage, access to the self-service customer system (GO-TO), claims, and other concerns. In addition, this position ensures that customers receive timely and accurate information and also takes an opportunity to provide proactive education that assists members in gaining a better overall understanding of how their health plan works.

The qualified candidate will have: 1) a Bachelors degree, or 2) HS Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of successful customer service experience. In addition to excellent oral and written communication skills, the ideal candidate will have a strong motivation to learn within a fast paced environment, excellent problem solving and follow-through skills, the ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team environment, and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and databases. Candidates must be able to demonstrate composure, a professional demeanor, patience and a positive attitude in sometimes stressful situations. Knowledge of health insurance, medical terminology and previous managed care transactional system experience are a plus. Please submit your application no later than Friday, February 22, 2013 .
