Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible to launch and monetize Jasper operators in Asia. This includes matrix managing internal product, marketing and engineering teams to support ongoing carrier operations. Ideally the Manager, Solution Engineering will be fluent in Japanese.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with the heads of sales, sales engineering and sales operations at the Jasper operator partners in the region
Train Jasper operator partner reps on the technical value proposition of the Jasper Platform, to deliver best-in-class sales presentations and product demonstrations.
Support operator partner reps with their presentations and demonstrations to top tier prospective enterprise customers including C-level executives through highly technical levels.
Train and provide ongoing support to Jasper operator partner sales engineering and operations teams to on-board new customers onto the Jasper platform.
Participate in weekly Jasper operator partner pipeline / implementation calls and work to remove technical blockers.
Organize quarterly training sessions to keep Jasper operator partner teams up to date on new features. Also, capture new product requirements and feed back to Jasper product team.
Identify and build sales tools to help operator partner sales team in their sales activities.
Interact proactively with the engineering and support teams to provide solutions to complex technical issues.
Overlay quarterly quota based on revenue, new enterprise accounts signed, new enterprise accounts implemented and other MBO’s as required.
Must be able to travel to operator and enterprise customer sites frequently. Travel will be up to 50%.
Bachelor of Science or equivalent (advanced degree preferred).
Management experience , formal or matrix
4+ years selling to & through an operator sales force.
5+ years of GSM / GPRS experience in a technical pre- and post sales capacity.
Understanding of wireless solution design and knowledge of various module manufactures and product lines.
Strong knowledge of GSM / GPRS radio and core network architecture, wireless device operation, basic switching and routing concepts, firewalls and active traffic management techniques and tools including NATing, caching and compression and basic network security background including SSL and IPSEC.
Experience with carrier channel management and carrier sell through models.
Ability to provide hands-on, on-site technical support.
Strong analytical, communication, presentation and customer interfacing skills.
Experience in machine to machine communications a plus.
