Position Summary

This position will assist in planning, coordinating, and directing quality assurance programs designed to ensure continuous improvement of products and systems. A hands-on approach and knowledge of Quality function, which strives in a fast paced manufacturing environment, will be necessary to excel in this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned

Drives continuous improvement of products and services.

Investigate and assure corrective actions are identified.

Assist in developing quality plans and changes to existing product to improve quality to customer.

Develop and implement standards to assure repeatable, reliable process.

Focus on customer satisfaction.

Serves as Customer Liaison between the plant and our customers. Customer interface onsite and off.

Manage the Quality department.

Responsible for inspection methods, analysis, testing and compliance with engineering specifications.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field required

A minimum of 3-5 years of fast paced, high volume, manufacturing experience

Prior Lean Manufacturing experience

3-5 years of previous supervisory experience

Track record of making improvement changes

Strong knowledge of Quality Standards, including implementation (e.g. ISO)

Excellent communications skills (both oral and written)

Strong organizational and computer skills a must

Superior analytical skills in order to identify and solve problems

Previous customer contact experience

Working knowledge of problem-solving tools and techniques as well as direct experience in corrective action reporting

Ability to compile, display, and analyze date in a logical format and to use the data to gain insight to implement corrective action

Able to effectively handle multiple tasks

Be an agent for change

Preferred skills and experiences

Lean or Six Sigma training and/or certification is strongly preferred

Union experience

ASQC Certification

CQE is a plus

Possesses Growth potential

ISO 9000 experience

Cross-functional experience
