We are in need of a Production Tamper Operator who will be working as part of a group to install new railroad track, maintain existing track systems or the railroad right of way. This candidate MUST have experience operating either a Mark IV or Jackson 6700 Tamper.

Responsibilities:
Operate railroad mounted Tamper to move Ballast on railroad tracks
Participate in group meetings including safety meetings, job briefing, etc
Operating powered and manual equipment, remove and replace track and track components including rail, ties, switches and ballast materials
Working Conditions:
Working in an outside environment regardless of weather conditions
Walks and stands for extended periods on areas with uneven footing and surface
Performs very heavy work requiring heavy lifting of 70 - 100 lbs
Work schedule may involve overtime including holidays and weekends
Extended travel required -- throughout East Coast
Employment Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver's license -- CDL Class A preferred
Must be able to perform heavy physical labor
Must be able to understand oral and written instructions
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
Must satisfactorily complete pre-employment FRA safety training
