SCOPE: The Practice Intelligence Project Manager II will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of IDEXX’s Practice Intelligence business in veterinary care and will be a core member of the Practice Intelligence team, a vibrant and committed group of entrepreneurial leaders paving the path for IDEXX in the commercial data space specifically with oversight of successful execution of our third party campaigns & programs for major Pharmaceutical Companies, relationship and partnership management and the commercialization of Practice Intelligence’s newly developed Syndicated Data products.

IDEXX Practice Intelligence is poised to be the leading commercial data provider in the veterinary space for third party partners and veterinary clinic needs. In particular, Practice Intelligence has been driving the vet to pet owner campaign and program space for 10+ years as the industry leader and is focused to build the same industry leading position with new Syndicated Data and Outcomes Research products.

Building on this tremendous foundation, IDEXX has made a visible and sustained commitment in Practice Intelligence resources and R&D spend. This is built on a clear focus to develop new Data products in collaboration with an exceptionally strong R&D team, and successfully delivering them and to support and drive commercial success.

The Practice Intelligence Project Manager will work closely with the Practice Intelligence Sr. Manager to facilitate incremental business acquisition and the Project Manager will work closely with our Data Operations Manager to coordinate execution of data product deliverables.

This position will either be located in Westbrook, ME or Eau Claire, WI.

JOB SUMMARY: Provide leadership on internal business-oriented projects or programs from initiation through delivery. Business-oriented projects or programs may include computer systems or software as part of the process or solution. Creates project plans, gathers resources, and implements projects. Manages project milestones and resources and is accountable for successful project delivery. Coordinates activities and ensures effective communication within project team. Tracks project schedules, reports on progress and takes corrective action as needed.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages internal business-oriented projects and programs. Manages entire project lifecycle from sizing and scoping project to implementation, closure and handoff to support, ensuring successful project completion and customer satisfaction.

Builds project plans, including necessary deliverables and schedules. Ensures project plans meet strategic objectives of the business. Ensures project plan compliance and that documentation meets regulatory requirements.

Facilitates project scoping, ensuring that issues are raised, necessary input is obtained and project work is outlined. Obtains scope approvals as required. Manages and obtains approval for any scope changes after initial approval.

Coordinates with various business areas to staff projects based on project requirements. Ensures project teams have necessary skills and experience to complete projects successfully.

Manages project stakeholders, including core team, steering committees, vendors and others as applicable. Coordinates activities and ensures effective communication within project team. Leads meetings and participant communications to drive decisions and action items. Provides for effective escalation and resolution of issues and concerns.

Manages project budgets, ensuring expenses stay within guidelines. Justifies and obtains approvals for any changes to budgets.

Provides regular reports and project status updates to management, stakeholders and others. Highlights successes, concerns, milestones, resolved issues and other important information. Document process standards as required.

May directly manage staff, assign work, monitor activities, evaluate performance and manage escalated/critical issues. Administer employment actions, provide coaching and guidance to staff and promote staff training and development. Support the development of department budget, policies and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
EDUCATION :
·
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
·
Project management certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE :
·
4+ years of project management and related business experience.
·
Proven track record of success on less complex projects.

Strong project management skills with knowledge in use of portfolio and project management tools.

Ability to lead multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams.
