Our drivers are responsible for safely operating a diesel-powered semi-tractor with at least one trailer for the purpose of delivery, pick up and hauling of materials between our distribution center(s) and multiple local and out of state store locations. Our drivers load and unload merchandise at the distribution centers and store locations utilizing life gates, pallet jacks and various other material handling equipment. Drivers are required to perform routine tractor and trailer inspections and follow all local and Federal transportation regulations. All drivers are required to maintain daily trip and fuel logs.
Possess and maintain a valid class A CDL driver's license;
Have a safe driving record;
A minimum of six months semi-tractor and trailer driving experience or equivalent training;
Knowledge and ability to abide by all transportation regulations;
Ability to accurately maintain daily logs and related record keeping;
A high school diploma or GED is required;
Ability to comprehend basic written and verbal communications;
Possess a customer service attitude;
Ability to understand basic mathematical computations;
Ability to site and use hands to finger movements, handle and feel;
Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms;
Ability to frequently lift and or move up to 20 pounds alone or up to 50 pounds with assistance;
Ability to push or pull palletized stock with a pallet jack or lift materials transporting to or from locations as needed;
Willingness to work in environments exposed to outside weather conditions.
