The North America Transmission & Distribution Market Leader is the core of the AECOM T&D Market’s overall direction and strategy responsible for business development; project delivery as well as overall growth of the T&D business in North America; particularly as it pertains to expanding geographically within North America and leveraging capabilities across the NA regions. This position could be located in any major AECOM office location in North America.
Specific responsibilities include:
Leadership and Strategic Direction
Establish and maintain effective organizational structure; which fully leverages the capabilities within each region
Create a culture of excellence consistent with our purpose & core values
Advance the AECOM vision and mission
Develop and implement the Strategic Plan for North America in conjunction with corporate strategic plan
Identify and act on changes in the business climate
Act as primary contact point to Energy Business Line Managers and Corporate offices
Lead M&A strategy as approved by corporate
Business Development
Lead development and execution of marketing agenda
Leverage recent Wins and AECOM global experience and expertise to build T&D business
Implement Key Client Liaison Program
Meet overall Wins/Bookings Targets
Coordinate with Regional Market Managers and Senior Staff in preparation of Technical & Fee Proposals
Foster inter and intra company initiatives
Facilitate market Coordination to leverage strengths
Market Operations Management
Financial
Maximize profit on every project
Ensure profitable growth
Execute the goals of the fiscal Operating Plan
Control overhead
Employee Development
Oversee recruitment and staff retention
Maintain and improve morale
Recognize and reward High Achievers
Drive and support professional development and career path for all Power Segment leaders
Development, Mentoring & Review of Segment Managers
Technical
Work with the Geographical Business Units(GBU) to deliver Quality Technical Service to our clients
Ensure that Project Managers and Senior Staff assigned to projects are of the highest caliber
Project Delivery
Work with the GBU to proactively manage risk
Maintain Unit’s Schedule of Deliverables
Encourage flawless project execution

Specific measures of success (accountability) include:
Achieving the Market’s Plan and Goals
Work with the Market and Energy Business Line Regional Managers to drive Project Performance
Profitability and Cash Collection
Identify and hold accountable the direct reports within the Market to ensure wins/bookings targets, technical quality, profitability and business development targets are achieved
Effective communications within the Market and Energy Business Line upwards and downwards
Position the Market for a sustained and continued profitable growth consistent with the Strategic Plan Level of cross selling
