The Per Diem Tissue Procurement Technician will report directly to the AOC Tissue Managers for all administrative support. Under direct supervision of the Procurement Team Leader, the Per Diem Tissue Procurement Technician is responsible for assistance in the procurement, packaging, and transportation of bone, soft tissue, and heart for valve for distribution to the designated tissue processor. Responsibilities include on-call status.

Position Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required: Operating room experience. Familiarity with anatomy, aseptic technique, principles of sterile fields, and surgical instruments. High school diploma.

. Must: (1) enter 4,000 keystrokes per hour; (2) possess basic knowledge of PC applications, software, and database management.

Preferred: Experience in the field of orthopaedics.
