Primarily responsible for technology design and comprehensive system level development. The Senior Programmer/Analyst will provide ongoing support of administrative systems, including software maintenance and reporting needs.

Knowledge and experience with Ellucian ( SCT ) Banner application preferred; will consider candidates experienced with other Oracle platform ERP systems who can demonstrate an ability to learn new systems quickly; Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. (Five or more years experience in programming or analysis may be substituted for the requirement of a related field, but a four-year degree is required.) The preferred candidate will have experience with: SQL , PLSQL , Oracle DB, and Linux/Unix operating systems. The following are also strongly desired: C, JAVA , JQUERY , JavaScript, . NET , VBScript, Power Shell, Oracle Discoverer and Oracle APEX . The preferred candidate also will have experience in application programming in ERP systems, knowledge of the Ellucian Banner system and other third party systems, and experience in project management. A detail oriented person able to maintain confidentiality and security of data and systems is preferred. Must possess strong analytical skills; ability to work independently when performing analytical and programming tasks such as designing, coding, documenting, and troubleshooting software and programs; Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, multi-task and work effectively with other members of the technical team(s); Must possess strong communication skills, both written and oral, to communicate appropriately and effectively with both technical and non-technical staff; Must be willing to learn and try new tools and approaches, take risks, and stay current in application software knowledge.

Position Type:

Work on all phases of the development process, including requirements gathering, work effort estimates, program development, testing and implementation; Integrate and/or develop processes to interface external applications into the College systems to meet reporting and analytical requirements; Create and maintain user, technical and operational documentation that describes program source, logic, changes and corrections; Provide technical support, consultation and training to functional staff on the appropriate use of programs and systems; Analyze and troubleshoot existing program source and correct errors as required; Participate on college-wide committees where technical representation is required. Actively participate in collaborative activities with peer institutions.
