We are searching for a Facility Maintenance Supervisor to support a food manufacturing client located in Philadelphia, PA!
Coordinate and support all facets of facility and production maintenance within assigned department to insure continuous and accurate operations. Assist and follow-up on all plant maintenance projects on an as-needed basis insuring constant communication between the maintenance dept. and production operations. Monitor and maintain daily operations of specific duties assigned by Departmental Manager. Assist in developing and executing basic and technical training requirements for plant personnel. Coordinate and direct the maintenance crew to organize, clean and maintain all areas of maintenance and departmental responsibility. Respond to all plant emergencies and maintain mandated certifications to respond to emergencies. Interface with service personnel and contractors to ensure quality workmanship.
Operation is 5 days a week, 2 shifts, must be willing to supervise the am and pm shifts.
Two/Three years Supervisory experience as well as Two + years as a Maintenance Mechanic A/Tech. level. At least 6 months to 1 year experience in a food or related manufacturing environment preferred. Experience in other job shop operations may be substituted. Knowledge of advanced maintenance techniques required. Ability to accept position empowerment and operate with minimum supervision required.
Physical work requiring lifting to a maximum of 50 pounds*, as well as frequent standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, balancing and carrying. Exposure to repetitive tasks and motions. Occasionally exposed to dirty, dusty, and oily working conditions as well as occasional exposure to high noise levels, extreme high/low temperatures and confined areas. Use of required safety equipment to respond to all plant emergencies and with daily job duties. (*For lifting over 50 lbs., you are required to get assistance.)
Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) is preferred.
Be willing to work the various shifts (approximately 7am - 3pm and 2pm -10pm)
