Watson Pharmaceuticals, a well respected and fast growing specialty pharmaceutical company is looking for a Project Manager III - Operations located at our Parsippany, NJ Global Headquarters. This position supports implementation, execution, and management of Global Operations initiatives, which may include product transfers and launches, overseeing API vendor transfers, business process engineering and/or management of third party projects.

Specific responsibilities include:
Reviews project proposals or plans on a preliminary or initial basis to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
Develops and implements project plans, which includes timelines, scheduling project meetings, setting agendas, preparing and presenting project progress.
Coordinates/leads project planning, project activities with the activities of affected constituents. Prepares project and other analytical reports; provides summaries and recommendations of projects to the appropriate person(s), throughout all phases of the project including project close-out.
Coordinates the transfer of designated projects to the Customer for continued processing or completion as determined by the appropriate top functional leader.

This position requires at least 7 years related experience in the pharmaceutical or consumer packaged goods industry. Generic pharmaceutical or CPG experience preferred. Background should include one or more of the following areas: product transfers and launches, product quality improvements, business process engineering, or related.

A working knowledge of project management processes and tools is required. PMP certification is ideal.

Skill in implementing goals, objectives and practices for effective, efficient and cost effective management of allocated resources.

The ability to conduct up to 30% travel is required.

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.
