Daily job duties include but are not limited to balancing teller transactions from the previous day for all banking centers, processing ATM deposit corrections, and reconciling and clearing entries to general ledgers and internal checking accounts. Responsibilities include performing research requests for documentation and processing internal transactions.
Job Duties Include:
Assisting banking centers with transaction processing questions.
Processing outbound cash letters and collection letters of checks drawn on non-US banks.
Understanding of teller operations and of the check flow process.
Reconciling account general ledger entries from the Federal Reserve Bank and correspondent banks for incoming and outgoing cash letters.
Professionally representing department when providing assistance to banking centers and commercial back office support staff.
Displaying a constant sense of urgency.
Assisting in development and maintenance of department policies and procedures which satisfy corporate, legal and regulatory guidelines and requirements.
Participation in the training process to ensure compliance with all department policies and procedures.
Assembling research documentation requested by subpoenas forwarded by the Legal department.
Providing feedback to manager and team lead on all important matters and developments relating to customers, staff, equipment, and bank departments.
Responding to questions from internal staff and management regarding department activities projecting a professional and positive image of the department.
Qualifications
Education
Associates Degree or technical training or coursework without a degree preferred.
Work Experience
PC experience, including working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
10 key data entry with speed and accuracy.
Three years of banking experience with strong focus on bank operations and internal transaction processing preferred.
Excellent verbal and written skills required.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet prescribed deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all staff and management levels.
Familiarity with DNA teller system preferred.
An aptitude in problem-solving is desired.
