The Engineering Lead will be responsible for supervising and managing the Salary Bargaining Unit control and tooling engineers. The Engineering Lead will manage day to day machining (engine crank, block and head machining.) and tooling related issues in production lines, CNC equipment related issues, and tool management. The Engineering Lead will supervise Non Bargaining Unit salary supervisor in cutter grind. Manage cutter grind department supplying tooling to machining lines. Perform day to day World Class Manufacturing (WCM) activities along with actively assisting and participating in WCM pillar activities. Maintain all engineering documents pertaining to engine crank, block and head machining. Develop cost savings initiatives. Write and execute projects. Actively work with the Maintenance Department to develop preventive maintenance plans and place permanent fixes to the problems in machining department.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering
Strong computer skills required
Microsoft Office applications expertise, especially Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
Strong communications and ability to work with union employees Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in engineering
Knowledge in tool management
