Under direct supervision, performs routine but varied clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures
May perform one or more of the following duties: photocopying, scanning, compiling records, filing, tabulating, posting information/data entry, phone reception and mail distribution
Applies a basic knowledge of department policies and procedures, and utilizes a general understanding of other departments' functions
Maintains records, prepares forms, and verifies information
Resolves routine questions and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher levels as appropriate

Basic knowledge of office machines and their uses e.g., copiers, scanners, fax, sorters, etc.
Basic computer, typing and 10-key skills is required
1+ year general office/clerical experience, plus some customer service experience helpful
High School diploma or GED is required
Medical office experience is preferred
