Opportunity Profile


We are currently recruiting for a Polymer Scientist to support our Chemistry department located in Morgantown, WV. This challenging position will be responsible for working with product development teams to design new generic pharmaceutical products, especially controlled release varieties involving the use of polymeric materials, conducting research activities to characterize polymeric materials, critically evaluating and auditing scientific data, developing qualitative and quantitative analytical procedures to characterize and measure polymeric materials both by themselves and after incorporation into a product, assisting in resolution of problems in R&D and production environments involving products which are comprised of polymeric materials, identifying new polymer-related technologies, acting as a resource to junior team members, remaining current on industry practices and techniques and performing other duties as assigned.


Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with 2-4 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Development. Preferably Masters or Ph.D degree in Polymer Science or directly related field. However, a combination of education and/or experience will be considered. Must possess knowledge of polymer chemistry and characterization techniques. Must have the ability to operate data acquisition and analysis software for a variety of analytical instruments. Strong quantitative laboratory skills are essential. Must have ability to solve problems and summarize data and conclusions to present to peers and managers. Requires proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software (Microsoft Office Suite).
