We are currently seeking a Chemical Engineer to join the growing team process research center in the Phoenix, AZ area. Job Description The chemist or chemical engineer develops new and innovative biorubber process for applications in consumer or commercial tires to meet specified performance criteria and implement to production. Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position are working with the design engineering firm to complete the pilot plant design and equipment selection; help oversee the construction, check-out, start-up and operation of the pilot plant. This can include statistical monitoring of operation metrics and identification, definition, and cost analysis of improvement projects. This role will also provide technical support to troubleshoot and solve problems impacting raw material yields, capacity, quality, environmental compliance, and safety. In addition, this role will be responsible to help identify cost savings and on-stream time improvements by tracking key performance indicators (KPI's).
Job Requirements BS in Chemical Engineering 6+ years of relevant chemical engineering experience Prior experience in a startup environment including experience designing startup processes Experience establishing performance metrics Environmental and safety compliance experience preferred Rubber, biomass or other related industry experience preferred Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
